MUSEUMS AND SOCIETY - MAPPING THE SOCIAL

Pegah Byroum-Wand

2023

Pegah Byroum-Wand is a literary studies scholar and has been working at the Technical University of Berlin since 2021 in the joint project “Museums and Society – Mapping the Social” of the Berlin University Alliance. The focus of Pegah’s work and research is on the one hand museums and activism, on the other hand the power-critical cooperation between project members and activists within the framework of an advisory board. The main focus here is on the asymmetries of power in cooperation and knowledge production at the interface between museums, universities and social movements. In the past, Pegah designed, among other things, a workshop program for the project “Reflections. Colonial Heritage in the Brücke-Museum” and worked as a project assistant for migration and diversity within the framework of the academy programs of the Jewish Museum Berlin. While working, Pegah Byroum-Wand completed further training in diversity-oriented organizational development at the Regional Office for Education, Integration and Democracy eV (RAA) Berlin.
