Ofer Firstenberg

Prof. Ofer Firstenberg is the head of the Center for Quantum Science and Technology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. He studied atomic and quantum physics in Israel and performed postdoctoral research at Harvard University and MIT on photon-photon interactions. Since 2014, Firstenberg has been leading the Light-vs-Matter lab at the Weizmann Institute, studying quantum nonlinear optics, quantum memories, and quantum-enhanced sensors
