Malina Lauterbach is an art historian and curator. Since 2021, she has been working at the Technical University Berlin within the project “Oxford-Berlin Initiative on Museums as Spaces of Social Cohesion and Conflict,” as part of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA). Prior to this, she coordinated the BUA-funded research network “Colonial Collections in Berlin Universities.” Her current research areas include geology and materiality in contemporary art, the relationship between art and knowledge production, and artistic perspectives on museums and collections. In 2020, she completed her Master’s degree in “Curatorial Studies – Theory – History – Criticism” at Academy of Fine Arts Städelschule and Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, with a thesis on female body discourses in the GDR, focusing on the artist Gabriele Stötzer.
