Theo Altman’s Memoria at the unidad.salgan festival

unidad.saglan studio, Universität der Künste, Jazz Institut Berlin | Theo Altmann

At the evening concert, the trumpeter and composer Theo Altmann will present his new project Memoria.

In this ensemble, which was created for this evening, songs will be the focus. The influences clearly come from artists like Björk, Xiu Xiu and Thom Yorke. The sound environment will be an electroacoustic one, which will move away from individual virtuosity and towards interwoven ensemble playing. Composition as well as text and improvisation will play a major role within the evening. Through the different characters and influences of the musicians* the compositions will be further developed and shaped in the ensemble.

Instrumentation:

Liv Sindler – vocals
Theo Altmann – trumpet
Pip van Eeden – guitar
Gal Golob – cello
Seth Sjöström – electric bass
Dominik Witte – drums
