Grand Opening of the Art & Science FORUM

Berlin Science Week

Grand Opening and Vernissage of the Art & Science FORUM and Tiny Galleries

How can we create new ways of understanding the world when we let art and science collide? What can science learn from art, and art from science? Join us for the grand opening of the first-ever Berlin Science Week ART & SCIENCE FORUM at Holzmarkt 25!

Organised under the motto „Dare to Know: Creative Science, Precise Art“, from 1 – 10 November the FORUM is dedicated to exploring the new paths art and science can embark on together. A diverse range of formats will illustrate the unique potential of art-inspired science and science-inspired art – from exhibitions, field trips, and artist talks to panel discussions, Tiny Galleries, workshops, live performances, a one-day Art Fair, and – finally – a one-of-a-kind night-long Club Night to close out Berlin Science Week 2023.

We are celebrating the grand opening of the ten-day FORUM and the vernissage of the 8 Tiny Galleries with a talk by the partners at the café at 18:00 and a guided tour through the exhibitions & Holzmarkt at 19:00. Dive into a single drop of water in the “Cabinet of Microbes”, discover species-recognition AI interrogating historical hats in “To be of service”, and engage with archiving as resistance and self-empowerment in “Power of Archives”, to name only a few of the exhibition projects.

Join the programme or come grab a drink and explore the premises on your own terms!

PUBLIC DISCUSSION & GUIDED TOUR ON SITE AT THE FORUM.

This is an in-person event. Attending the event is free of charge and requires no registration.
