Anjam Chaudhary, PhD. Anjam has been acting as the inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator at International Studies and Programs at Michigan State University. She has spearheaded the development of numerous educational initiatives aimed at fostering a comprehensive and multi-perspective approach to DEI, with a primary focus on the global dimension.
Anjam’s background spans communication, literature, languages, arts, intercultural competence, and Educational Leadership, empowering her to offer a unique lens to the field of DEI. With experiences spanning 5 countries, including 5 US states, Anjam has honed her expertise through work at two of the largest Hispanic-serving institutions, Florida International University and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, as well as two of the largest Public institutions, Pennsylvania State University and Michigan State University. This diverse journey has provided her with a profound understanding of higher education, including the needs and challenges of underserved populations.
As an active member of numerous DEI committees in higher education institutions and professional organizations, Anjam consistently places the human experience at the center of her work, utilizing storytelling as a powerful tool to create meaningful connections and broaden our understanding of the world.
