Dance, learn & connect in an immersive exploration of scientific aspects of club culture
Embedded in the Berlin Science Week Closing Party at Holzmarkt 25 (read more here), the Science of Rave collective will take you on a journey into the inner workings of club life! While heating up the dancefloor during a 2 hour House set by DJ Discotopian, you will hear various scientific and expert impulses shedding light on hidden aspects of the clubbing experience. Curated by Dr. Prateep Beed (Mind Foundation & Immersia Labs) and Felix Rundel (futurehain), Science of Rave explores themes such as collective movement to music, synchronised brains in bliss, insights into perfect club spaces and much more! We have a stellar line-up of speakers in Marie-Thérèse Henke, Teresa Geisler, Manisha Biswas, Prateep Beed & Svenja Liebschner – spanning all of the Berlin Universities and across several disciplines like neuroscience, psychology, biochemistry and philosophy!
The Science of Rave will be accompanied by an immersive performance by Lori Baldwin.

This is an in-person event. Attending the event is free of charge and requires no registration.
This event will take place as part of the Berlin Science Week Art & Science FORUM at Holzmarkt and will be held at Säälchen. The location is wheelchair accessible.
