Martin Hayes is professor of Digital Technologies and academic lead for the UL@Work project at the University of Limerick, (UL). This Human Capital Initiative, together with its sister Cyberskills and REEdI projects means that UL has been successful in securing in excess of 20 €Million to support workplace based Education and upskilling for Irish Industry in the strategically important areas of Smart Manufacturing, Cybersecurity and the use of eXtended Reality for operator training.
Prior to this appointment, Martin served as Head of the Electronic & Computer Engineering Department (ECE) at UL.
Martin is a funded investigator with Confirm, the SFI funded institute for Smart Manufacturing Research in Ireland.
