Lithium Back to the Earth

THE LITHIUM LAB

Discover the unseen! Lithium Back to the Earth blends art and science, revealing lithium's journey from salt mines to labs, and its crucial role in our future. A visual experience!

Lithium Back to the Earth [Video] fuses art and science to visualize a key element in our lives whose occurrence is still unknown: lithium. The projection of salt mine images alongside laboratory-analyzed battery visuals enables an exploration of the duality between micro and macro scales. It also invites reflection on the visual impact of lithium extraction and processing for industrial and scientific purposes.

"We have discovered an unexpected connection between science and art throughout these scientific processes. This connection reveals itself in the beauty of the samples, we use in our research. While battery components may be perceived as static, rigid, and lifeless, observing these samples allows us to recognize their potential for transformation and inherent richness. These elements are in constant mutation, albeit gradual, inviting us to reflect on the dichotomy between organic-inorganic materials in time".
