Lego-compatible Bricks Building Challenge with Young Engineers
Young Engineers
Young Engineers Berlin Workshops – Play, Build, Discover!
At our Young Engineers workshops, children become Engineers for a day! Using Lego-compatible bricks, participants between the age group 6-10 years build exciting working models that demonstrate real scientific and engineering concepts.
What Visitors Can Expect
- Interactive Workshops: Kids (ages 6–10) will dive into building projects that bring (S)cience (T)echnology (E)ngineering (M)aths concepts to life, such as gears, levers, and motion.
- (S)cience (T)echnology (E)ngineering (M)aths Through Play: The model they are going to build isn’t just fun. It explains real principles in physics or mechanics in a way children understand.
- Guided Learning: Our trained Young Engineers instructors guide participants step by step, encouraging creativity and problem-solving (for those who are not participating in the timed challenge).
- Takeaway Knowledge: Children leave with a sense of accomplishment from building proprietary models of Young Engineers, while gaining a deeper appreciation of how science and engineering shape everyday life.
- Family-Friendly Environment: Parents and visitors can observe, ask questions, and get inspired by how playful learning nurtures future innovators.
Participation Options
At our Young Engineers workshop at the Berlin Science Week Event, participants can choose between two exciting formats: Workshop and Challenge,
- Workshop
Children follow our Young Engineers building instructions at their own pace to construct proprietary models. This format allows them to explore, learn, and enjoy the building process in a guided yet relaxed way. - Challenge
Children take on a special challenge designed by Young Engineers. Our team provides an age-appropriate model with building instructions that must be completed correctly within a set time. The goal is to build the model so that it functions as intended.
