EARA Conference 2025 - Day Two
Now that many countries worldwide are embracing openness and transparency in animal research, our conference will explore the next steps to improve the sector’s approach to communication with the public and develop its understanding of this important topic.
The EARA Conference 2025 brings together leading voices in science communication, policy, and biomedical research to explore how transparency and public trust in animal research can be strengthened. With an audience of researchers, communicators, patient groups, and decision-makers, the event features a two-day programme of keynotes, panel sessions, and flash talks.
Day 2 addresses transparency in institutions and research regulation, opened by Susanna Louhimies (European Commission). ‘Transparency and Openness in Animal Research’ includes voices from Understanding Animal Research (UK), Novartis (Switzerland), and Charité/MDC (Germany). A special session on ‘Hot Topics in Science’ engages with broader societal debates on reproductive rights, vaccine hesitancy, GMOs, and climate change.
