Dialogue on Borders: Art for Human Connection

Sara de Boer

Join this talk at the Berlin Wall Table, located at the Berlin Wall Memorial. A place where strangers meet and connections are made by sharing stories about overcoming borders, freedom & democracy.

Open Table Talk at the Berlin Wall Table

In the middle of the city you can find a table that unites. The Berlin Wall Table is an artwork created by Meike Ziegler and formed in a ritual act on November 9th, commemorating 35 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Two original fragments of the Berlin Wall were transformed into a powerful, functional artwork that invites us to sit together, speak openly and build understanding. How can we come closer together? What if we would really listen to each other? Accept differences and find common ground?

The table serves as a platform for dialogue and community gatherings. You are invited to join the ‘Open Table Talk’ this November. Invited guests and passerby came together at this place for a series of talks and discussed themes such as overthink, infinity, truth and balance. In the Berlin Freedom Week, the theme 'freedom' will be our focus. The gathering is guided by the artist and open to everyone. Feel free to join this unique experience.
