Decision Theater: Exploring the Future of Collective Decision-Making

Arizona State University Decision Theater, Max Planck Institute of Geoanthropology, Berlin Science Week

How can we shape decisions together so that their consequences are visible, understandable, and open to discussion?

The Decision Theater is an immersive, interactive space where complex data and real-world scenarios become tangible. Using visualisations, simulations, and creative interventions, it allows participants to explore the consequences of decisions before they are made, making abstract challenges – from urban planning to global supply chains – understandable and debatable.

Following an intense day of prototyping at the Ideathon, participants will showcase their ideas, models, and visions for the future of data-driven decision-making. At this Gallery Walk & Meetup, visitors can explore the results, engage with the teams, and discover unusual perspectives born from the collaboration of experts across science, technology, politics, art, and culture.

The event is also the kick-off of the FORUM at Berlin Science Week, framed by the guiding question: Who owns knowledge – and how do we learn from one another?

Come along if you are curious about new approaches to collective decision-making, eager to exchange ideas with a diverse community, and interested in how interdisciplinary collaboration can spark innovative solutions.

Join us for inspiring insights, good company – and free snacks and drinks!
