AuthentiSci: Orientation in a post-factual media era

Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute)

What if scientists were able to verify scientific information in online media articles and provide guidance on the web? AuthentiSci, a web-based tool, is designed to do just that.

AuthentiSci is a web-based tool that allows scientists to verify scientific information in media articles and the general public to suggest articles for verification. The tool was developed in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics and the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. The project was born during the 1st Lindau Online Sciathon and is driven by Lindau Alumni.

As part of the Speaker's Corner, Dr. Ana Alonso-Serrano will demonstrate how AuthentiSci works and how anyone looking for orientation in the World Wide Web can benefit from this tool.
