Luis Armando González Placencia

Luis Armando González Placencia is Executive Secretary General of ANUIES. He holds degrees in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Policy, and International Sociology. A Professor Emeritus at the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala, he served as Mexico City Ombudsman from 2009 to 2013 and as Rector of UATx from 2018 to 2022. His academic career focuses on human rights, criminal policy, social inclusion, and economic, social, and cultural rights. A Level II National Researcher, he has published extensively and delivered over one hundred lectures worldwide. He currently chairs the Mexican Academy of Criminology and serves on national and international academic councils and boards.
