Dr. José Manuel Orozco Plascencia is a professor and researcher specializing in the field of Economic, Social, and Regional Development of Mexico and the Asia-Pacific, with a particular focus on China, at the University of Colima. Since 2021, he has coordinated the Interinstitutional PhD Program in Social and Solidarity Economy. Since 2014, he has been a member of the International Network on Competitiveness, Public Policy, and Tourism (COPPTUR) and a Level I Researcher in Mexico’s National System of Researchers.
