Cicely Parnas is a Berlin-based American cellist, arranger, and composer known for her versatile musicianship. She has performed as a soloist in major venues such as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, and with orchestras including the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Charleston Symphony.

Cicely is also an imaginative arranger and composer. She has created arrangements for various ensembles, including a set of Nine Arias for Cello and Piano for the Brooklyn Duo, and is currently writing a four-movement solo cello work commissioned by cellist Jennifer Kloetzel.

In 2012, she initiated The Commission Project, working with composers like Arsentiy Kharitonov and Chris Beroes-Haigis. In 2023, she successfully crowdfunded a recording of Beroes-Haigis’s Spoken in Waves for cello and string quartet, with a full album of his music planned for 2026.
