Iris Haberkorn is currently Project Lead & Senior Scientist at ETH Singapore Centre leading the Urban Microalgae Protein project. She has a background in nutrition and food science from the University of Hohenheim, Germany and ETH Zurich, Switzerland. She did her PhD at ETH Zurich in Sustainable Food Processing under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Mathys. Her current work at ETH Singapore Centre focuses on establishing solutions for urban food production and processing based on microalgae to establish more resilient, sustainable food systems harnessing circular bioeconomy concepts.
