Diverse Minds, Shared Future

Soapbox Science Berlin, LGBTQ+ STEM Berlin

Think science is all lab coats and jargon? Meet the women and queer scientists making it real, relatable, and for everyone.

Our event brings the fascinating world of science to the streets, merging scientific inquiry with artistic expression. The invited speakers, women and queer scientists, present their research in a jargon-free and accessible manner, engaging the public through storytelling and interactive experiences.

To bridge the gap between complex scientific concepts and everyday understanding, the speakers use creatively designed props and visual aids. These artistic tools not only make the science more relatable but also add an aesthetic dimension to the presentation, illustrating the beauty of scientific discovery. Through these talks, we want to emphasize that shaping our future requires the inclusion of diverse voices, perspectives, and backgrounds in science. Our goal is to raise public awareness and inspire a more inclusive vision of science by highlighting the diversity within the scientific community and the importance of varied research approaches.
