Juliane Götz is one half of the artist duo Quadrature, together with Sebastian Neitsch. Since around 2015, they have been working at the intersection of art, science, and technology, creating performances, installations, sculptures, and audiovisual works that blend scientific inquiry with poetic interpretation. Their practice treats technology not only as a tool but as a medium for reading and writing realities, drawing on data as their main artistic material.

Together, they have received numerous recognitions, including Honorary Mentions at the Prix Ars Electronica in 2015 and 2018, as well as residencies and grants from institutions such as Stiftung Kunstfond, Akademie Schloss Solitude, La Becque, PODIUM Esslingen, and ZKM’s Hertz-Lab. Recently Götz received the Brandenburger stipend for the Ars.

Alongside her artistic work, Götz regularly engages in teaching and public speaking. She has led workshops and classes at Bauhaus Universität Weimar, the Design Academy Eindhoven, and other institutions in Madrid and Reykjavík, as well as curated the 2024 student exhibition of Bauhaus Universität at the Ars Electronica Campus. Both are members of an association dedicated to transforming a former radio research facility in Brandenburg into a space for collaboration, sustainablity and culture.
