Kohli Foundation for Sociology Award Ceremony 2026

The Kohli Foundation for Sociology honors two outstanding contributions to the discipline.

The 2026 Kohli Prize is awarded to Raewyn Connell, a pioneer in the sociology of masculinities, whose work has influenced generations of researchers. The award ceremony offers a special opportunity to attend a lecture by the Australia-based researcher in Berlin. 

The event also recognizes the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP), one of the largest and longest-running multidisciplinary household surveys worldwide. As a leading force in supporting the quality, originality, significance, and rigor of sociological research and a role model for data collection and analysis, it is being awarded the Infrastructure Prize for Sociology.

The program includes the award ceremony, laudatory speeches, a public lecture by Raewyn Connell, and a reception with drinks and snacks.
