Artistic Intelligence
The current wave of digitisation and automation has produced a crisis of human creativity being systematically devalued, cultural heritage and creative works being inadequately attributed or exploited and artists and audiences being excluded from advanced technological development processes. AI technologies are rapidly redefining traditional roles of artists and audiences reducing both to technological objects. This roundtable discussion will explore to what extent a collective rather than artificial intelligence of artists and audiences can boost creativity restore trust between stakeholders and establish sustainable economic foundations for creative work. It envisions a future where collaborative human and non-human creative processes enable new forms of distributed agency reclaiming epistemic sovereignty and strengthening aesthetic resilience – the capacity to achieve and restore integrity while adapting to and shaping technological change.
