Laughing Matter - Science-inspired Improv Comedy

The antidote to boring scientific lectures, this event will have you going 'A ha!' and 'ahahaha' as fascinating science meets hilarious improv comedy. 

Our guest scientist will have 15 minutes to give a talk on their research at a level understandable for any audience. Following this a team of improvisers will improvise comedic scenes inspired by this talk, transforming serious science into utter nonsense for your entertainment. Finally the audience has the opportunity to ask our scientist questions - in the spirit of the event no question is too silly!!

Come join in the fun and leave the venue knowing more about one or two particular scientific fields of research than you did before. Unless you are a scientist then we can’t guarantee you won’t somehow know less.

Improvised means made up on the spot! Therefore this is once in a lifetime performance that will never be seen again (for better or worse!).
