Berlin, 15 October 2024 – The Falling Walls Foundation, together with Humboldt University Berlin and the Berlin Senate Department for Science, Health and Care (SenWGP), cordially invites media representatives to the press conference for Berlin Science Week 2024:

Berlin Science Week will take place from 1–10 November 2024, under the theme "Common Ground". It is one of the world’s largest science events, offering a platform for scientists, artists, sociopolitical actors, and citizens to present and discuss scientific research and findings, fostering constructive exchange. This year’s theme, "Common Ground", focuses on the role of science as a bridge-builder in an increasingly polarised society.

Topics of the Press Conference
Key topics will include the theme "Common Ground – Science as a Bridge": Berlin Science Week aims to serve as a forum to strengthen dialogue between science, politics, and society, contributing to overcoming societal polarisation.
Additionally, we will present programme highlights from over 300 events across various locations in Berlin, including:
- Berlin Science Week CAMPUS at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin
- Science & Culture FORUM at Holzmarkt 25, focusing on the connection between science and art
- Highlights such as the interactive "Decision Theatre", where political and societal decisions can be simulated using scientific data
- Other innovative formats designed to foster exchange between science and society
