Wilfried Sanchez

Wilfried Sanchez earned a PhD in ecotoxicology from the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (French National Museum of Natural History) and has spent over 10 years working on the effects of pollutants on aquatic ecosystems. He is now deputy scientific director at Ifremer, the French research institute dedicated exclusively to the ocean. In this capacity, he leads the Ocean & Climate priority research programme, which is one of France's contributions to the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences.
