Thomas Tichai

Thomas is a Berlin-based composer, musician, producer, sound artist, lecturer and artistic researcher. He has been working, touring and collaborating as a musician, solo artist and music industry professional for 20 years. He obtained a PhD in Sonic Arts from Liverpool School of Art and Design/Liverpool John Moores University for his research into participative methods of composing. Thomas currently explores the creative potentials of electric guitar and modular synthesizer systems within electronic, ambient and experimental music and pursues an interest in poshuman perspectives in music making. He also lectures and teaches a wide range of music- and sound-related subjects to people of all ages, proficiencies and backgrounds.
