Prof. Dr. habil. Thomas Kantermann has been a full-time university lecturer in health psychology at the FOM University of Applied Sciences since 2018. He is Director of the Institute for Work & Personnel (iap) and Director of the FOM Research Academy. He studied biology and psychology at Bielefeld University. He then worked at the Institute of Anatomy and Neuroembryology at the University of Rostock before completing his doctorate in biology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2008. There he habilitated in medical psychology. He is a co-opted board member of the Working Time Society (WTS/ICOH), a founding member of the Daylight Academy (Velux Foundation) and a reviewer/editor of various international scientific journals. Since 2007, he has been a freelance scientific consultant and speaker in the fields of human chronobiology, sleep, health and performance.
