Social Sensibility
Alessandro Rolandi
is the founder and coordinator of the Social Sensibility R&D Departments.
A multidisciplinary artist and researcher based in Bern after 18 years in Beijing, his work focuses on social intervention and decentralized autonomous practices.
Exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Gwangju Biennale, and Manifesta 12 , he is a Roxbourg Fellow, former co-curator of the Beijing Media Art Biennale, and lectured at institutions like Science Po Paris, CAFA, Tsinghua, Capital Normal University in Beijing and NYU Shanghai. He is currently an MA candidate in Global Media and Digital Culture at SOAS London.
Tianji Zhao
is a visual artist and Director of the Social Sensibility R&D
Department in Beijing/Daxing. Born in Beijing and raised between China and the US, she holds an MA from MaHKU, Utrecht. Her practice uses found materials and site-specific gestures to create fleeting orientations from everyday moments.
She formalized the 'Work/Live" intervention methodology, bringing critical local insight to the project and expanding its scope along the years.
Blandine de La Taille
is a Paris-based artist.
She studied at the Paris-Cergy Art School and the Emile Cohl Applied Arts School, and holds a Master's in Contemporary Art and Thought from Paris 7 University.
She employs a multidisciplinary practice (printmaking, drawing, video, writing) to archive and transcribe fields of transitional memory. An award-winning artist exhibited in Paris, Geneva, and Beijing, she now heads the Social Sensibility R&D department in Paris/Gonesse and teaches at Paris 8 University.
