Anthropologist specializing in human-environment relationships. Her research is at the intersection of anthropology and environmental studies, focusing on the politics of water scarcity in conflict zones such as Syria and Iraq. Additionally, she applies an intersectional feminist lens to issues surrounding nature, ecology, and disasters. 

She is an associate member of the Disaster Research Unit at Freie Universität Berlin and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. on the topic: "Water Supply, Management Crisis, and Escalating Risks in North-East Syria & the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan/Iraq.“

Since 2023, she has been working based on her field researches at her project "Along the Rivers of Kurdistan," a project aimed at supporting river basin communities of the Euphrates and Tigris at Spore Initiative Berlin.
