Pablo Castagnola, born 1969 in Buenos Aires, was raised surrounded by photography. His father’s photo studio as well as the art scene in the Argentinian capital awakened Pablo Castagnola’s joy for craftsmanship and attention to technical detail. At the age of 23, he founded his own photo studio and received numerous awards for its advertisement campaigns. Today, he lives in Berlin.

In his photos, he explores identities and living spaces with sensitivity, curiosity and an attentive eye for humanity. This approach results in lively, authentic portraits and photo journalism from all over the world. His pictures have been published in Time Magazine, GEO, Die Zeit and Newsweek, among others. He also freelances for companies and scientific institutions like the Einstein Foundation Berlin, the Max Delbrück Center and the Natural History Museum Berlin. In 2002, Pablo Castagnola joined the international photo agency Anzenberger based in Vienna.
