Maria Kyrou

Maria Kyrou is Architect (Dipl.-Ing., M.Arch.) and Design researcher with a focus on transdisciplinarity and the practices of knowledge. She explores how emerging digital media are transforming established art disciplines, while creating new hybrid practices of teaching and learning, as well as mutual possibilities for cocreation and collaboration across the physical - virtual spectrum. Until its recent completion, she was associated with the four-year project InKüLe (Berlin University of the Arts), with parallel teaching activities including among others the Future Realities Lab (University of Applied Sciences Berlin). Her work on hybrid learning spaces, immersive archives and phygital artefacts has been presented internationally, co-weaving design with emerging technologies and collaborative knowledge production.
