Liat Grayver is a Berlin-based cross-disciplinary painter and media artist whose practice explores the redefinition of painting in the technological era. She is the co-founder, Artistic Director, and Artistic Researcher of EACVA – Embodied Agents in Contemporary Visual Art, a collaboration between artists, philosophers, psychologists, and engineers investigating robotic systems in the creative process, hosted by Goldsmiths, University of London and the University of Konstanz. Since 2016, Grayver has pioneered the integration of robotics and computational languages into painting and image-making. She has held prestigious fellowships, including a Junior Fellowship at the Collegium Helveticum, ETH Zürich, and the VERTIGO STARTS residency, and her work has been published widely in journals and exhibition catalogues at the intersection of art and technology. Her projects have been presented internationally at major institutions, including the Jewish Museum Berlin, the Centre Pompidou (Paris), and transmediale (Berlin). Grayver’s practice has been recognized through numerous grants and awards from the European Union, the Berliner Senat, and the DAAD, and she was a finalist for the KI-Newcomer Award and the DAGESH Art Prize.
