  • Berlin Science Week

Laureline Simon is the founder and executive director of One Resilient Earth, a non-profit organization supporting transdisciplinary scientific, artistic, and educational projects to foster awareness of the multiple impacts of climate change, and to build our climate resilience in transformative and regenerative ways. Previously, Laureline supported the international climate negotiations as part of the United Nations Climate Change secretariat, with a focus on adaptation knowledge management, loss and damage, and the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform. With the French Development Agency, she coordinated the financing of large-scale climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation projects in India, before leading a research programme on climate change adaptation in cities of Sub-Saharan Africa. She also gained experience with resilience by engaging in post-disaster reconstruction projects in both rural and urban India, with the NGO SEWA.
