Guillermo Pérez Hernández

Guillermo Pérez-Hernández holds a degree in Chemistry from the Universidad de La Laguna (Spain) and a doctorate in Quantum Chemistry from the University of Jena (Germany). He is currently an Einstein BIH Postoctoral Fellow at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where his research focuses on the simulation and analysis of protein complexes key for cell-signalling and drug development.

He is also the president of the Society of Spanish Researchers in Germany, CERFA e.V., and secretary of the Network of Societies of Spanish Researchers Abroad, RAICEX. These organizations are dedicated to engaging, connecting, and supporting Spanish researchers abroad, with activities that range from interpersonal and career support, virtual and on-site meetups, and thematic symposia, to consulting at the institutional and government levels.

Guillermo is passionate about science, science networking, outreach, and policy. He regularly participates in, co-organizes, and moderates public events, serving as either a general member or from his positions in the above organizations.
