Gretta Louw

Gretta Louw is a multinational artist based in Munich. Her practice investigates the intertwining of culture, nature, and technology: the tensions between sensuality and efficiency; craft and automation; constant digital connectedness and corporeal dislocation. Louw’s work has been exhibited widely in institutions and galleries such as Galerie der Künstler (DE), bitforms (US), Kunstmuseum Solothurn (CH), Münchner Stadtmuseum (DE), Furtherfield (UK), and LABoral (ES). She has been the recipient of numerous awards - most recently the New Media Prize of the City of Munich - and her work has been covered by Vogue Hong Kong, Hyperallergic, Kunstforum, Motherboard, AQNB Magazine, and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
