Emily Ricotta is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda. Her research focuses on understanding and improving data collection and management using non-randomized studies, and conducting rigorous population-level infectious disease studies. Before joining USU, she served as the Chief of the Epidemiology and Data Management Unit in the Division of Intramural Research at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Emily continues to act as the Principal Investigator of NIAID's study evaluating the immune response to COVID-19 vaccines in individuals with immune disorders. She earned her PhD in Epidemiology from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute at the University of Basel.
