Dr. Mazaraki is a neuroscientist driven by curiosity and a passion for understanding the brain’s complexities. She earned her Ph.D. from the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin, where she specialized in the neural pathways of the somatosensory system. Her research has led her to present at prestigious conferences and collaborate with leading scientists, significantly contributing to our understanding of neural processes. Before her Ph.D., she worked at Oxford University, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration and publishing her findings in high-impact journals. Currently, Dr. Mazaraki is part of the science editorial team at Springer Nature, where she helps shape and refine groundbreaking scientific publications.

In addition to her editorial work, she is dedicated to making neuroscience accessible to a broader audience. For the past three years, she has served as a scientific consultant and core member of the NeuroArt Association EDGE, a Berlin-based organization that merges neuroscience with the arts to engage and inspire the public. During this time, Dr. Mazaraki has curated neuro art exhibitions, supported the organization of conferences, delivered public lectures, and led workshops at events like Berlin Science Week.

Her work bridges the gap between research and public engagement, using creativity to foster a deeper understanding of neuroscience in both academic and community settings.
