Cristina Brischetto, Ph.D. is a molecular biologist with over nine years of research experience across diverse therapeutic fields. From early in her scientific journey, she developed a strong interest in genetics and the molecular mechanisms that regulate cellular function, driven by a desire to better understand the origins of disease.

She completed her Ph.D. at the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin, where her research focused on the pathways underlying chronic inflammation. She then pursued postdoctoral research in cancer biology at the Institute of Biotechnology (TU Berlin), where she translated her expertise into clinical applications by developing complex cellular preclinical models for gastric cancer treatment.

Currently, Cristina is part of the science editorial team at Springer Nature, where she contributes to shaping and refining cutting-edge scientific publications in Genome Medicine. She is deeply committed to making science more accessible, transparent, and engaging for both the research community and the wider public.
