Dr. Christoph Karg received his undergraduate degree and doctorate in mathematics, and is currently working at the Max Delbrück Center as a postdoctoral researcher in “Machine Learning in Image Processing”. He is using machine learning to find a method for automatically annotating the cells of the nematode C. elegans and creating a kind of “cell atlas” of it. In general, he is interested in how mathematical and geometric concepts can be implemented using programming languages and applied to digital images.
