Åse Slagtern has about 20 years of experience in CCS. Currently Special advisor in the Research Council of Norway (RCN) where she has been since 2011.  She has worked primarily with instruments for funding of research within CCS and hydrogen including research infrastructure. She has worked with ECCSEL since it was in its preparatory phase and been a part of the GA since the beginning. Involved in international collaboration within CCS such as CSLF and IEAGHG.  She is currently responsible for the instrument Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research, counting 13 centres within different aspects of environmentally energy research.

Educated as cand scient from University of Oslo within Physical chemistry. Previous experience with 20 years from SINTEF with catalysis and adsorbents including CO2 capture. For 10 years she was Research Director in SINTEF. She also has 5 years experience from Aker Engineering & Technology within gas technology as principle engineer.
