Annu Kala

Dr. Annu Kala is a neuroscientist at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She is fascinated by how billions of neurons work together to create our memories, emotions and behaviour. Her research explores the hippocampus and what happens to its activity under the influence of psychoactive substances like MDMA. Beyond the lab, she loves turning complex neuroscience into stories that are relatable, entertaining and, hopefully, make you look at your own brain a little differently.
