Alexandra is a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Queensland Centre (MPQC), located at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces. She earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Liege, Belgium, where she studied the tendon-bone interface. Following her PhD, Alexandra undertook her first postdoctoral project investigating joint health (part of a collaborative Excellence of Science initiative between several universities). Since September 2024, she is a member of the MPQC, where her research focuses on bone network architecture and transport properties.
