Prof. Dr. Alexander Meissner studied Medical Biotechnology at the TU Berlin and completed his doctorate at the Whitehead Institute/MIT. In 2008, he became Assistant Professor in the Department of Stem Cells and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University and a member of the Broad Institute. In 2016, he came to the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics as Director and Scientific Member of the Max Planck Society.
