Abdelkarim El-Hajjami is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. His research focuses on generating synthetic datasets to advance the use of artificial intelligence in requirements engineering, where the goal is to capture, analyze, and validate what software must deliver under given constraints, since flaws at this stage often lead to costly downstream problems. Synthline, the framework he created, produces realistic and configurable synthetic data that enable the training and evaluation of AI models on tasks such as classifying, prioritizing, and validating software requirements. This approach addresses the scarcity of open datasets in the field and helps both researchers and practitioners develop more reliable and efficient software systems.
