Hub focus
Launched in 2020, the Falling Walls Engage Hub Argentina provides a space for science engagement practitioners from the Southern Cone region of South America to exchange knowledge, collaborate on projects and strengthen the connection between science and society in addressing societal challenges. Through its events, the Hub shines a spotlight on citizen participation in science in Latin America while strengthening its international cooperation network.
Key priority areas
A key priority area for the Hub is promoting youth leadership, supporting teacher development and connecting early-career or emerging innovators to regional and global science engagement networks. Through the established programs and cross-border partnerships of Fundación Ciencia Joven, the Hub supports public technical education, building long-term capacity for science engagement in schools and communities.

About the Hub
Location and network
The Engage Hub Argentina is hosted by Fundación Ciencia Joven (FCJ), an organisation transforming STEM education in Latin America. The Engage Hub connects science engagers across the Southern Cone region of South America as well as generating opportunities for international scientific connections and partnerships. The Hub is managed by Oscar Contreras-Villaroel, president of FCJ, with the support of Elizabeth Haug, Regional Director of Programmes.
