Pint of Science: Quantum Frontiers and Bacterial Fortresses
Pint of Science is an annual international festival that researchers into pubs and cafés to share their discoveries with the public in a relaxed atmosphere. The audience can listen to talks from different scientists and then engage with them with any questions they might have. These presentations are designed to be engaging and entertaining to people from any background. You don't have to be a scientist to enjoy a night learning about science at your local bar.
Do you know what makes quantum physics so bizarre? And more importantly, how are scientist going to revolutionize cryptography using quantum computers? These questions might pique your brain's curiosity. But what if you are actually curious about your brain and some of the proteins that may affect it? Come join us in a night full of fascinating wonders where you can get a glimpse of the latest research that has been done in these fields!
This is an out-of-season edition of Pint of Science in collaboration with Berlin Science Week. It features three researchers from Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in a varied range of topics, from quantum technologies to astrophysics.
And remember: no previous scientific knowledge is required!
