Progenote Institute , FRONTROSE, Wehrmuehle

A carefully curated encounter between contemporary art and biology, bringing nanobiotech partners into dialogue with artists.

As part of Berlin Science Week, we host an exhibition that reabsorbs technology, art, and biology into a singular primordial organism, a ‘progenote’. Our pairings form an ongoing meta-experiment in negotiating new formats of knowledge production.

ARCH. x OMAN SOUNDS x PROGENOTE INSTITUTE
Visceral Superhelix - an immersive sound installation exploring the self-similar structure of collagen, from baroque gut strings down to the nanoscale triple helix.

JULIUS NIEMEYER x MIMOTYPE TECHNOLOGIES
Thymia - an ephemeral cloud, in mScarlet3, a quiet signal of matter in flux.

JAKOB KUKULA x SPARXELL
IRIDESZENZ - an iridescent study in motion, where light sculpts the insect form into shifting hues.

ANDREA CARRERA
Micromentum - a faint bloom of form, grown by unseen rhythms and held just at the edge of becoming.

We invite scientific minds, roaming artistic souls, and everyone to rewrite each other’s playbooks, carving out a niche as boundless and totipotent as the progenote, the elusive progenitor of all biological life.
