City Within: What happens in your brain when you enter a city?
Saskia Wheeler,
EDGE - Blurring the Borders between Art and Neuroscience e.V.,
Prateep Beed (MIND Foundation & Immersia Labs)
Have you ever wondered why some cities make you feel stressed, while others leave you feeling calm and at ease?
Step inside a dome projection and experience a series of simulated urban environments while your brain activity is measured in real time. Discover how your brain responds to different cityscapes.
At the end of the experience, you’ll receive a visual artwork created from your very own brainwaves — a personalised digital footprint of how your brain responded to the city.
- Free entry.
- The installation operates on a drop-in basis. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Each experience takes approximately 15 minutes.
- Participants will sit inside an immersive dome and wear a non-invasive EEG headset. No prior experience is required.
