Tim Wittenborg

Tim studied mechanical engineering and computer science and is pursuing his Ph.D. at LUH in the field of data science and digital libraries. At the Open Research Knowledge Graph, he is conducting research at the L3S & TIB Joint Lab on how we can communicate, store, and share knowledge across all fields and media.

Tim’s biggest project is the nonprofit association “BorgNetzWerk – Gesellschaft zur Vernetzung freien Wissens e.V.,” founded with the goal of making understandable knowledge available to everyone. Anyone who sees Tim in a video, a podcast interview, or the reviews on the BorgNetzWerk website will see him building castles in the air with “genuine passion” and “down-to-earth determination”. And evidently, the main project, the WissKomm Wiki, has now become a reality, paving the road towards FAIR science communication knowledge infrastructure.
