Matteo Farinella
- Berlin Science Week
Matteo received a PhD in neuroscience from University College London in 2013. Since then he has been combining his scientific expertise with a lifelong passion for drawing, creating comics, illustrations, and animations to make science more clear and accessible to the wider public. He is the author of Neurocomic (Nobrow 2013) and other popular science comics for both adults and children. He currently works as a Scientific Multimedia Producer for Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute. In his spare time he volunteers on the editorial board of Graphic Mundi and occasionally as art director for Science for the People magazine.
Matteo will talk about his work as scientific multimedia producer, and why comics can be an ideal format for science communication.
